Faircloth Melton Sobel & Bash is pleased to announce that Laura Beth "LB" Matthews has become partner of the firm.
LB joined the firm in 2017 and her practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation, casualty/personal injury defense, and employment law, including both individual and class action claims and coverage disputes. She has extensive litigation experience specializing in accident investigation within hours of an accident to preserve evidence and facilitate litigation support. She also has litigated cases before both Louisiana state and federal courts.
LB earned her B.A. from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania and her J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law School at LSU in 2011, where she was a member of the Louisiana Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif. After graduation from law school, LB clerked for the Honorable Judge Dee Drell. Before law school, LB taught middle school special education through Teach for America which is an experience she utilizes in defending school boards across the state. She is actively involved in several community organizations including service as a Child in Need of Care advocate
